Dino Jungle
Last weekend I bought Scarlett a big toy dinosaur, that roars (yes, I only have myself to blame) at a second hand toy stall. I told her we'd make it a jungle for it later in the week. By Wednesday, she could not wait any more and brought down the contents of her craft box and said 'right, now we're going to make dino-roar's jungle Mummy!'. So we did. It was excellent fun and required just some paints, tissue paper, pva glue (lots), some glitter and gems. We used the cardboard box our weekly shop of veg came in, which was a perfect size.
As different elements dried, we planned the next bit and it took all day, in a very good way! Scarlett was very proud of the result and has been playing with it ever since. This week she wants to make a house, I'd better buy some more pva!

Lettie Belle at Somerset House!
We are so excited to have been selected to have Lettie Belle cushions in the Christmas Arcade at Somerset House, London! This will be on at the same time as the fabulous ice rink, and is a chance to pick up Christmas gifts which aren't usually found on the high street. Our new Christmas designs will be on sale there, and are coming soon on our website too!

Autumn Tree
Here is Scarlett decorating our newly purchased wood and canvas tree, from the very gorgeous website, Sisters Guild. It is very sturdy and comes with a wooden stand. As soon as it arrived we began decorating it with an autumn theme. Scarlett used crayons on the trunk and I made some leaves to hang from branches, which she drew on. It was a lovely activity and we will be redecorating regularly. Next stop, Halloween, and I already have the gems and sparkle for Christmas!
If you haven't already do visit Sisters Guild, it is a beautiful treasure trove!

Reluctant Model
Here are the results (and out takes)of a little photo shoot we did recently! Scarlett doesn't quite have the natural patience to be a model(and she is only 3), nevertheless I was pleased with the final pics. She was paid handsomely for her time with an 'F for Flamingo' cushion!

Time Flies
Ah, it seems to be September, how did that happen?! After an eventful summer, it's the beginning of Autumn in the UK. A rather warm and sunny one so far. Time has run away from me again, and suddenly the air is getting fresher and fashion more exciting! I love this season, it's the real start of new beginnings I always think, rather than January.
I am currently juggling (something I'm rubbish at) a slightly out of control 3 year old, a 3 month old, and trying to realise new designs for later in the year. Yes, I have chosen to do all these things, it's just, er, a bit of a challenge that's all.........
I have some lovely products in the making, which I cannot wait to share! In the meantime, here are a few of the bespoke cushions wecreated for lovely clients recently....

All lined up.......
For a long while now, Scarlett has had a habit of arranging toys, shoes, or anything she can get her hands on! She is fond of placing things in lines, or grouping by colour or size. If I spot her doing it I take a snap as I just think it's interesting. Here are a few of the line-ups she has worked on........

Twit Twoooooo
Here are two new Barn Owlet designs, just added to the Woodland Collection. These proved popular at Pulse trade show recently, we think they're rather sweet! Both are small sized (26x26cm or 23x28cm), but as with all our designs, can be ordered in a larger size. Created using organic cotton, eco-fi felt (made from waste plastic bottles) with leather and hand stitched detail.
