Happy Easter!

Since my last post, time has mostly been spent contending with two bouts of chicken pox, and various colds etc! These Easter holidays have been very relaxing and restorative. A week in Dorset  , eating, drinking, fossil hunting and just spending time together as a family did all of us the world of good.
Happy Easter bank holiday weekend!

Happy Half Term

A delayed post, due to mass lurgy in our house over last two weeks!

Half term was full of fun, friends, dancing, cinema and frogspawn, of course.

Here are some highlights of our break.....

Snappiest Cameras

These wooden toy cameras come in the most delicious shades. They are made by Twig Creative, and are exclusive to fabulous online shop, Scout Kids and Co. My girls will love one of these, though I have the urge to line them up on a shelf out of reach!

Springtime Hallway

I regularly rearrange decorative pieces in our home, occasionally adding new details. Having moved in last summer, the novelty of having a hallway still hasn't worn off!

Currently, the hallway cabinet has a spring like feel, with pastel colours and some of my very favourite things. I must have been inspired by a photo canvas of Scarlett from last summer, taken in La Rochelle which is full of ice-cream shades.

With all the rainy, cold weather in the UK, it's nice to feel a little sunshine stepping inside!

Here is the hallway nook on a viewing before buying the house......

                                                                And now.

Perfect Peg People

These beautiful, hand painted, decorative little peg people are just divine! They are created by the incredibly talented artist, Carrie Hill of Porter Colline. The King and Queen Of Hearts pair are limited addition and perfect for Valentine's day. A set of five comes in brightly coloured, or monochrome option. A tough decision!

Available at beautiful online shop, Molly-Meg, the King and Queen of Hearts are £15, and Sets of 5 Peg People are £25.

Transformation Thursday....new year, new injections of colour

Once the Christmas decorations came down, I really enjoyed putting decorative accessories back where they belonged in the living room.

I also had a few sale bargains and boxed up pieces to swap in. I do seem to gravitate towards grey and pink in this room! It might be my textile background, which means I have a weakness for mixing and layering prints.

I'm very pleased with our new crochet foot stool, though it's huge! That'll teach me not to pay attention to dimensions.

A few new pieces, or just moving things around can easily freshen up a room. I love Achica.com for bargain buys, especially for rugs, cushions and lighting.

Expectations and Anticipation.....Happy New Year!

Although I don't set New Years resolutions, I do like any excuse to tell myself I will be super organised, start a new fitness regime, and generally conquer the world.

My fitness is taken care of by the school run, which is a couple of miles a day in total for me at least. I was shocked to discover that our calendar is a two year one, and I'd copied the entire events schedule from school into it-result! So I am a bit organised it turns out.

This year I'm really excited to launch new Lettie Belle products and designs! I've applied for a couple of selling shows, and can't wait to see LB grow. For me, 2013 was about family, and being fixated on moving house, and getting Scarlett into school simultaneously. I didn't have much time to work, and that was fine, but as a family we start this year very happily settled and ready to go!

I can't wait to see what this year brings, and wish you all a very happy and healthy 2014!
